Take the time to learn about how it is impossible to tune a piano! I think it is fascinating!

Please join me in a huge round of applause for Avi! Avi completed his Level B My First Piano Adventures Series! He is pictured above with his certificates and a cute little stuffed animal named, "Cuteness"! Blue is his favorite color while candy is his favorite food. Playing the "Star Wars" theme song is his 2016 New Year Resolution. Avi has performed in three Winter Holiday recitals. When Avi is not playing the piano he enjoys digging holes, playing Legos, skiing, playing in the snow and making people giggle. Avi has perfected his ability to make me laugh each and every Friday afternoon during our lessons. Congratulations Avi, I am very proud of you!
Congratulations to Miss Sophie and Miss Claire for completing their Primer Level Piano Adventures Series! They study at the piano with our instructor, Leonardo! Way to go ladies! We are very proud of you!
Congratulations to Miss Laurel! She was selected as our VIP Bach Master of the Week! She is photographed above with our Bach Mascot. Hooray for Laurel! Keep up your hard work! We are very proud of you!

Check out this link to see Sarah and I work on a duet during a lesson on a snow Sudbury winter day! ![]() My students ask me this question all of the time. Parents probably wonder the same question but are to polite to ask. So here it is folks. The answer to the big question, "What exactly DOES Ms. Renee ALL day long before lessons when her own kids are in school?" When glancing at this photo it appears that I do not clean my desk or style my hair. I work on schedules, payroll, lesson plans for my awesome students, recruitment and retention of high quality teachers, tuition collection, taxes, bills, phone calls, inquiries of new students, etc. just to name a few things. Oh, and I would not trade my role for any other role in the world. Thank you for allowing me to have the fabulous opportunity to bring music into the lives of our students! Congratulations Shaun! Shaun just completed the Alfred Level 1 A lesson book! He is going to start working with the Piano Pronto Series. Turquoise is his favorite color. Chinese noodle soup with rice from a specific local Chinese restaurant is his favorite food! The Notre Dame Fight Song was his favorite piece that he has learned how to play so far. Shaun recently debuted his performance skills at our Annual Winter Holiday Recital! Way to go Shaun! I am incredibly proud of you!
Happy 2016! I hope this finds you accomplishing all of your New Year Resolutions!
Each year, I ask our students to set Music New Year Resolutions! Each year our students amaze me! This past year, I was especially amazed by a particular young man who has studied the piano with me for nearly 3 years! He set out to achieve a practice goal that was pretty lofty for him. His mom appeared as surprised by this goal as I was. We all agreed and supported him. Week after week, after week he met his 2015 New Year Resolution of practicing enough to earn a little ticket for my practice jar. While he was working on this resolution he started flying through his books and learning new material with ease. His confidence grew right along with his set of skills. I was ecstatic to discover that his hard work earned him the title of our 2015 Practice Jar Winner AND a $25 Barnes and Noble Gift Card. I was a misty eyed mess inside telling this story in front of him and all of our guests at our Annual Winter Holiday Recital. (And I could not look at his proud mom in the audience either!) His proud smile was worth a year of hard work for all of us! Congratulations Max! You are an inspiration to our entire studio family! I cannot wait to see what you accomplish in 2016! |
