Please join me in a HUGE round of applause for my friend, Cassius! Cash recently completed his Primer Level Piano Adventures Series and has started working from his level 1 Red Books! Hawaiian pizza is his favorite food while blue is his favorite color. "Grandmother" was his favorite song that he worked on recently. Cash has performed in three nursing home recitals and is preparing some terrific music for our spring movie themed recital. When he is not busy playing the piano, Mr. Cash enjoys playing Legos and playing with his older brother. Even though he did not tell me during his interview; I do know that he enjoys playing with his younger brother and sister also. Congratulations Cash! We are proud of you!
Congratulations to Miss Kaylan! Kaylan recently completed her Level 1 Red Piano Adventures series. She has already started her Blue Books (Level 2A). "Rain Dance" was her favorite song from the red books one of the reasons she liked this song was because she earned a lot of Fit Bit steps each time she played. Her favorite colors are pink, purple and blue. She has performed in two winter holiday recitals, two nursing home recitals and she is preparing to perform in the spring movie themed recital. When Kaylan is older she would like to become a second grade teacher or a gym teacher! Way to go Kaylan! We are very proud of you!
A mom of three of our terrific students sent me this link. We all know about how music lessons can increase students' math and reading scores. We all know about how music lessons can teach students about discipline, time management, etc. However, this article has a different message about how valuable music lessons truly are for our developing children.
Take a few minutes to read this and let me know your thoughts...
Congratulations to our instructor, Daniel Dickson! Daniel has been accepted into the Doctor of Musical Arts Program for String Performance for fall 2016! We are incredibly proud of you and honored to work with you!
