My friend, Lukas was working on his recital piece at home and discovered he liked to play the ending with a different hand position then the publisher had indicated on the music. Lukas shared this interpretation with me at his lesson. I agreed that this new fingering & position made a smoother ending and suggested that we write to Randy & Nancy Faber. Lukas and I typed up a very professional letter, signed it and sent it off to the Faber Music Company. Days later a FedEx delivery arrived at my door addressed to Lukas. I immediately started to shriek with excitement and texted his mother! Photographed above is Lukas with an official letter and a brand new hot off the press Faber book at Lukas' level! The letter was very complimentary to Lukas and extremely encouraging to him! They want Lukas to continue to be inspired and create fabulous music! For those of you who are attending our upcoming Winter Holiday Recital, you will be lucky enough to see and hear Lukas perform his interpretation of the piece he recreated the ending for.

This fall has brought a lot of excitement and energy to our studio. Daniel is working with six students who are studying more advanced music theory throughout a six week course. It has been a lot of fun watching the students learn and grow as musicians and students.
