Teaching Philosophy: "I am influenced by studying performance at the University of Delaware and the New England Conservatory, and studying Music Learning Theory at the Hartt School of Music. My success as an educator comes.from sensitivity to individual learning styles; sensitivity to individual instruments; belief that all musics were created equal and interest in sharing that belief with students, as in performing and listening to world.music; belief that children learn music best by listening to and imitating characteristic tones and styles. I believe private lesson teachers should perform live for their students as much as.possible, using appropriate humor, early and often."
