Teaching Philosophy: "My teaching style is to learn about what style of music you like and to tap into what makes you excited about playing percussion. I create drum charts using notation software and have my students learn to play along with some of their favorite songs (along with songs from my own suggestions). You'll learn various styles and techniques through playing along with these songs, and I also like to touch on topics like song forms and drumming history, so that you get a good sense of where all this information comes from."
