Our First Annual Note-worthypalooza is May 2, 2021, from 11-6 pm (The rain date is May 23rd). The deadline for registration has passed. This event will be held at Camp Sewataro 1 Liberty Ledge Sudbury (off of Haynes Road next to Haynes Elementary School). Please use the main entrance.
All students of all ages regardless of their skill level are expected to participate. Register above by April 2 for this free outdoor socially distanced Music Festival (if there are extenuating circumstances students will be excused). We will have THREE stages of performances occurring simultaneously! There will be full-size 88 weighted key digital pianos at both pavilions for students to use. A full drum set will be available at one pavilion and the NWE Unplugged Tent. One music stand will be available at each pavilion / tent. We will have 40 acres of picturesque green space at Sewataro to socially distance and celebrate our students' successes.
Only students who are actively taking lessons and or studying in a group band are eligible to participate in this free event.
Students are not expected to stay for the entire event. There will not be an awards ceremony at the end or large gatherings.
Each student is limited to performing two pieces. Students are scheduled to perform in estimated increments. Please understand that we expect to be ahead and behind schedule at different points in the day. Students should arrive 15 minutes prior to their estimated performance time. Students should warm up / tune their instrument prior to arriving the assigned performance area.
Small group and family performances are encouraged. If performing with another student, please note this on the above registration form. Groups may not combine their above performance time. If a soloist wishes to perform, he or she may register for an additional spot.
Wi-fi is not available for streaming back tracks or digital scores. Students should plan accordingly.
A battery powered amplifier will be available for use the NWE Unplugged Tent if needed.
If a student needs an accompanist, please contact Renee. Please note that most students will be performing solos.
Facemasks will be required. Instrument masks will be required for brass and woodwind instruments. Masks are not provided at this free event.
Thank you to Sanitizer Time of Jam Time (https://sanitizertime.com) for being our hand sanitizer sponsor. Sanitizing wipes will also be provided for use by students using microphones and or digital pianos.
Reasons to be Cheerful will have their homemade ice cream and homemade waffle cones available for purchase on your own onboard their antique Chill Wagon. (https://www.cheerful-reasons.com)
Juliana's Catering will have their famous brick oven pizza slices and whole pizzas as well as cold drinks available for purchase on your own at their tent. (https://www.julianascatering.com)
Contact the food vendors directly with questions regarding dietary restrictions. Both food vendors and their protocols have been approved by the Sudbury Board of Health.
Families are welcome to bring their own picnic meals (alcohol is not permitted), blankets, lawn chairs, (tennis racquets, frisbee and fishing gear, etc.) to enjoy the large outdoor space.
There is an approximately 1/4 mile gently rolling paved walk from the parking lot to the two different pavilions. (The food vendors will be placed in the middle of the pavilions). If anyone in your party needs accommodations to access a pavilion by a ramp please let me know in advance (only one pavilion has ramp access). There are portable bathrooms available. One portable bathroom is handicap accessible.
The Sudbury Board of Health is permitting us to have the instructor, the student, the immediate family and the event master of ceremony in each pavilion at any one time. There should be no more than 10 people inside either pavilion at any point. The NWE Unplugged Tent will be only able to accomodate the student, instructor, emcee and two parents. All other attendees may listen and watch outside of the pavilions while socially distancing.
Families are encouraged to record the performances and share them with families. There is not Wi-Fi available at Sewataro. Live streaming is not available.
Overflow parking will be available at Haynes Elementary School (169 Haynes Road Sudbury). If needed attendees may be dropped off at the main parking lot.
In the event that inclement weather forces us to use our rain date of May 23rd, Renee will send out a notification through Constant Contact (the newsletter email) and post it on social media by 8 am on May 2nd.
We expect the weather to be windy, hot, or cold; we also expect pollen and insects, please plan accordingly.
You will receive an email notification when your shirt order arrives at the studio and arrangements can be made for a contactless pick up.
For any questions or emergencies, please contact your instructor directly. Renee will be one of the masters of ceremony at one pavilion and will not be available.
An updated facility map will be added below in place of the current map as soon as it is available.
This is our first major outdoor event. While we are extremely excited to bring this event to your family we do appreciate your patience and flexibility as issues arise.
