For 2023, Note-worthy Experiences Music Studio will present eight in-person recitals on December 7 - 10th and one in-person and one online recital on December 10th to celebrate our success of 2023. Students must register in advance for an in-person or online recital. We will not be hosting hybrid recitals for 2023. Our goal is for all of our performers is to have an incredible and positive live performing experience with a supportive audience. We appreciate your patience and support as we expect challenges to arise.
The in-person recitals will be held at Flint Hall of St. Anne in the Fields Episcopal Church for this annual event. Flint Hall is located on the second floor to the right of the stairs and elevator. There is ample parking in the lower parking lot, including handicap-accessible parking.
The Zoom link for our online recital will be included above when it is closer to the recital date.
The student, family members, and friends are welcome to attend the assigned recital. We do not sell tickets and do not have a limit on the number of guests. We will not have a live stream. If you wish to have a guest join the event virtually live, you may do so on your own device.
All of our students are strongly encouraged to participate but not required to do so (including our new beginner students).
Students who are not performing are highly encouraged to attend to support and become inspired by our performers.
The students will be assigned to recitals (grouped by instructors) by Renee by October 31st. Students do not select their recital time or order. Please reserve all four dates for the recitals until your student is assigned to a recital. The Thursday recital will be at 6 pm. The Friday recitals will occur in the evenings at 5:30 and 7:30. The Saturday recitals will occur at 9:00, and 11:00 am as well as 1:00, 3:00, 5:00, and 7:00 pm. The Sunday in-person recital will occur at 1:00 pm. The online recital will occur at 4:30. The number of recitals is subject to change based on the number of registered performers. All students who participate in the online recitals are expected to perform live at their assigned time. If a student is performing with a group that works with an NWE teacher on a regular basis for a specific separate lesson, the group may perform 1-2 pieces and the student may play 1 solo piece (for a total of 3 pieces). Performances should not exceed 8 minutes including set-up time. Loose sheet music should be placed in a folder or binder. Performance pieces should be marked with a sticky note or tape flag.
Students are asked to bow at the conclusion of their performance. Students do not need to announce the names or titles of their pieces as this information is on the program above.
St. Anne in the Fields' COVID protocol is that guests are not able to attend the event if they are experiencing any COVID-like symptoms.
There will not be a paper program. Guests and students are asked to print the program the day before the recitals (as performance orders may change) at home and bring it along or follow along on a smartphone or tablet.
There will be a brief awards ceremony following each recital. Guests (online and in-person) are expected to be present for their entire assigned recital.
Audience member limits are subject to change based on government guidelines due to the pandemic. All attendees must adhere to the current government COVID protocols.
Students will be seated with the other students in number order of their performances and asked to quietly prepare from their seats to take the stage area. If a student needs to warm up or tune, this may be done in the hallway sanctuary area. Students should do these 3 - 4 student performances ahead of their performance and be ready when the student before is playing. Please keep in mind our very tight time constraints due to capacity limits and cleaning requirements. Renee and the instructors will be assisting students here in order for the recitals to run smoothly and on time. The parents of the student performing may temporarily be seated in the front row while the student is performing.
Duet and small group performances are encouraged.
Accompanists will be provided by request by October 15th.
Students should arrive 10-15 minutes prior to their scheduled recital time and check in with Renee. Students and families are welcome to virtually attend additional recitals to support their friends.
A piano, drum set, music stands, amplifier, stool, Bluetooth speaker, extension cords, and microphone will be provided. Performers should bring their own music, drumsticks, and instrument (if applicable).
We intend to do our absolute best to run each recital right on time to allow for ample sanitizing and cleaning in between each recital. Photo opportunities are available around the lovely picturesque grounds. We will also have a photo opportunity area with props set up. Your patience is truly appreciated in exiting Flint Hall (the performance hall) after each recital. If the previously scheduled recital is taking place when you arrive, you may quietly enjoy the performances.
Photography and videography are highly encouraged during each recital. Please only post photos or videos on social media if all in the photo have given permission. Please tag Note-worthy Experiences Music Studio and Renee on social media posts.
