Teaching Philosophy: “The two biggest principles that guide my music instruction are the belief that everyone can be a musician, and that students learn best when they’re engaged! My biggest goal as a music educator is to help students realize their potential to read, create, and perform music. Just like Chef Gusteau said, “everyone can cook,” I believe, “everyone can make music.” As students go on their journey of musical discovery, I want to foster in them a sense of interest and curiosity of the musical world around them outside of their own surroundings.”
Biography: An Arizona native, and Massachusetts newcomer, Christopher Metz is excited to bring his musical background to Noteworthy Experiences. Beginning in 2015, Mr. Metz has ten years of experience as an elementary music teacher, working with kids aged 5-14 on singing, pianos, and ukuleles. Having been a choral student himself in his youth and throughout college, Mr. Metz earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Northern Arizona University, where he strengthened his choral skills and fostered his love of music history and theory. He later earned his teaching credentials from Arizona State University, where he attained his first master’s degree in Music Education. Before moving to Massachusetts, Mr. Metz began teaching adult learners at Phoenix College. From the students who are more intrigued by music history and theory ranging from Busnois to Bach, students who want to start singing, playing the piano or ukulele, all the way to the students who just want to have fun, Mr. Metz is passionate about helping students learn to read, perform, and appreciate music, no matter their skill level or learning style. He hopes to get to know the Massachusetts community more as he brings his own unique perspective to Noteworthy Experiences.
Christopher began teaching in 2015 and joined Note-worthy Experiences in February 2025, where he teaches all levels of voice, and beginner piano and ukulele lessons.
