Teaching Philosophy: "As a piano instructor, my teaching philosophy is rooted in the strong belief that learning music is tied to learning how to listen. Active listening allows students to absorb different musical styles and genres, providing a full palette from which they can draw inspiration for their own works.
With a “musical ear”, a strong foundation helps create long-term success in piano playing. I prioritize the development of proper hand posture, technique, and music theory knowledge. By focusing on fundamentals from the beginning, students will have a solid base to progress and tackle more complex pieces confidently.
I foster a positive and supportive learning environment, where students feel comfortable and motivated to explore their musical abilities. I provide constructive feedback and praise their efforts, recognizing and celebrating their achievements at every stage of their musical journey. This encouragement helps to build their confidence and perseverance.
Learning the piano is an enjoyable experience. I incorporate a variety of teaching techniques, such as games, improvisation, ensemble playing, and sight-reading exercises to keep the lessons engaging and fun. By nurturing a sense of joy and passion for music, students are more likely to stay motivated and continue their musical journey with enthusiasm.
By fostering a love for music and providing a solid foundation, I aim to empower my students to become confident, expressive, and lifelong musicians."
