Teaching philosophy: "I like to find out what gets my students excited to learn and shape our lessons around these interests. Playing should ultimately be fun and a creative outlet; it is important to keep lessons exciting. With this excitement to learn, it is easier to grasp new concepts and ideas behind the instrument. Without this excitement, it can be frustrating and tiring. As a teacher, I want to make sure my lessons are preparing the students for their goals and also all the skills they will need to play in situations outside of the lesson. At the end of the day, we are all learning, and I always enjoy passing down information I have learned from my teachers."
