Teaching Philosophy: "As a music educator, I believe in creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment where students can take risks and try new things. My role is to provide the knowledge and encouragement for students to grow as both independent musicians and collaborative instrumentalists. Beyond learning notes and rhythms, I hope that students will create musical products that are unique and meaningful to them. My goal is that all of my students will create music that is personal and that gives them something to take pride in sharing with others. Though some students will not make music a part of their career, I believe that music is a lifelong journey, and I want to equip students with the skills and confidence to continue creating, appreciating, and engaging with music throughout their lives."
