Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy centers on honesty, goal-setting, and musicality. I believe in approaching fundamentals and repertoire with a spirit of empathy and honesty, ensuring students are aware of their progress and areas for improvement. Goal-setting is integral, facilitated by practice journals to track progress. I emphasize the use of method books such as the Max Schlossberg Trumpet Studies and Arban's book to build a strong foundation. Additionally, I focus on lyrical playing, encouraging students to find joy in music through duets and accompaniment. This approach not only develops technical skills but also fosters a love for musical expression.
