Teaching Philosophy: "I believe in creating not only excellent musicians, but creating a person with a well-rounded set of skills and aspirations. I don't want my students to just understand practicing for music; I want them to understand the art of practicing. I teach my students lessons that they can take with them for the rest of their lives, inside or outside of music."
Biography: I grew up in the Bay Area outside of San Francisco. I came from a competitive academic and music program that I am grateful for to this day. My early education in music is why I am lucky enough to be inspired to play today. After high school, I received a scholarship to the Boston Conservatory of Music. There, I studied saxophone performance with Philipp Staeudlin. Later, I spent time at Boston University for my masters where I studied under Kenneth Radnofsky.
Stephen began teaching in 2019 and has been with Note-worthy since February 2022, where he teaches saxophone and piano.
