Join our Winter Holiday Recitals 2022

For 2022, Note-worthy Experiences Music Studio will present in-person and one online recital recitals during a four day period to celebrate our success of 2022. Students must register in advance for an in-person or online recital. We will not be hosting hybrid recitals for 2022. This will be our first time hosting recitals over four days. Our goal is for all of our performers is to have an incredible and positive performing experience with a supportive audience. We appreciate your patience and support as we expect challenges to arise.
The in-person recitals will be held at Flint Hall of St. Anne in the Fields Episcopal Church for this annual event. Flint Hall is located on the second floor to the right of the stairs and elevator. There is ample parking in the lower parking lot, including handicap accessible parking.
The student, an additional 4 family members, as well as the instructor are allowed to attend the assigned recital. All other friends and family members are welcome to join us online. The link for online viewing will be shared here 1 week prior to the recitals.
All of our students are strongly encouraged to participate but not required to do so including our new beginner students.
Students who do not wish to perform live in the facility may join the online recital perform live via a video internet connection. Students must pre-register for the online recital. The student can log on at his or her assigned time and perform live. We will not offer online streaming of the in-person recitals.
The students will be assigned to recitals (grouped by instructors) by Renee by October 31st. Please reserve all four dates for the recitals until your student is assigned to a recital. The Thursday and Friday recitals will occur in the evenings. The Saturday recitals will occur in between 9 am - 7 pm. The Sunday recitals will occur in between 12:30 - 4 pm. The online recital will be on Sunday evening. Please note that the order of performances with the recitals will change as Renee receives additional information. Students cannot be placed in an alternative recital.
The registration fee and form are due on October 1st. Students who register after October 1st will be added if space is available. A $10 late fee will be applied for late registrations.
Song titles are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The registration fee is $45 per student ($90 per family maximum). This fee is non-refundable. We do not charge admission or have ticket sales.
The attire for all performers is holiday best. The attire for guests is festive dressy business casual.
Students may perform 1-2 pieces. (only 1 may be a holiday song). If a student is performing with a group that works with a NWE teacher on a regular basis for specific separate lesson, the group may perform 1-2 pieces. Performances should not exceed 8 minutes including set up time. Loose sheet music should be placed in a folder or binder. Performance pieces should be marked with a sticky note or tape flag.
Students are asked to bow at the conclusion of their performance. Students do not need to announce their names or titles of their pieces as this information is on the program above.
Instrument masks / bell covers should be used for all wind and brass instruments.
St. Anne in the Fields' COVID protocol is that masks must be worn by guests when entering and exiting the building regardless of vaccination status. Masks should not be removed for performing, unless necessary for a wind instrument performance. Unvaccinated attendees must wear a mask at all times. Guests are not able to attend the event if they are experiencing any COVID-like symptoms. If an attendee becomes COVID positive within two weeks of the event, Renee must be notified by email and she will notify St. Anne's to begin all contact tracing protocols with 24 hours of the test results.
There will not be a paper program. Guests and students are asked to print the program the day before the recitals (as performance orders may change) at home and bring it along or follow along on a smart phone or tablet.
There will be a brief awards ceremony following each recital. Guests (online and in-person) are expected to be present for their entire assigned recital.
Audience member limits are subject to change based on government guidelines due to the pandemic.
Students will be seated with their family (note this is a change from our previous Winter Recitals) and asked to quietly prepare from their seats to take the stage area. If a student needs to warm up or tune, this may be done in the hallway sanctuary area. Students should do this 3-4 student performances ahead of their performance and be ready when the student before is playing. Please keep in mind our very tight time constraints due to capacity limits and cleaning requirements.
If a performer (virtually or in person) misses his or her performance spot, he or she will be given one opportunity to perform at the end if there is time.
Duet and small group performances are encouraged.
Accompanists will be provided by request by October 15th.
Students should arrive 10-15 minutes prior to their scheduled recital time and check in the assigned instructor volunteer at the door. Students and families are welcome to virtually attend additional recitals to support their friends.
A piano, drum set, music stands, amplifier, stool, Bluetooth speaker, extension cords, and microphone will be provided. Performers should bring their own music, drum sticks and instrument (if applicable).
We intend to do our absolute best to run each recital right on time to allow for ample sanitizing and cleaning in between each recital. Photo opportunities are available around the lovely picturesque grounds. Your patience is truly appreciated in exiting the Flint Hall (the performance hall) after each recital.
If the previously scheduled recital is taking place when you arrive. Please wait and socially distance on the first floor of the facility or your vehicle.
Photography and videography is highly encouraged during each recital. Please only post photos or videos on social media if all in the photo have given permission. Please tag Note-worthy Experiences Music Studio and Renee on social media posts.
In the event of inclement weather, all updates will be emailed via Constant Contact, posted here, and on our Facebook page.
