Teaching Philosophy: "I believe that we all inherently have music within us, and with the right encouragement, it can grow into something incredibly special. In my lessons, students are encouraged to forge their own unique musical identity, while also being given a strong musical foundation in the fundamentals. I think it's incredibly important that students are learning the music they love, with the purpose of learning fundamentals being to strengthen their ability to express themselves. Above all, the most important thing is that each student has fun and finds joy in the music!"
Biography: Aidan is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and educator based in the greater Boston area. Originally from the greater Philadelphia area, Aidan's love of music was fostered from a young age, as his father exposed him to classic 70s music.
He began taking drum lessons at 8, and throughout his time in school, he developed a love of both drum sets and classical percussion. In school, he gained a holistic musical background, playing in concert band, orchestra, drumline, percussion ensemble, big band, and he even was the student director for his high school's musical theater pit orchestra. Outside of school, he performed in both his indie rock and jazz fusion groups, playing gigs and festivals around his hometown.
In 2019, Aidan began attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, further deepening his love of drums and percussion, while also falling in love with piano, composition, and music production. He graduated in May of 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Contemporary Writing and Production, with a minor in Scoring for Games and Interactive Media.
While a student at Berklee, Aidan played and recorded in many different groups and styles, playing shows in Boston, New York, and New Hampshire, in various styles from indie pop/folk, neo-soul, funk, jazz, and rock. He has released his own music on streaming platforms and worked on the soundtracks for several video games. He continues to work in the industry, releasing new music.
Outside of music, he loves learning about the world, especially in the realms of linguistics, geography, and history. Aidan also has a love of nature and wildlife, especially cats, dogs, and frogs.
Aidan began teaching in 2019 and joined Note-worthy Experiences in September 2023, where he teaches drum set, classical percussion, and ukulele lessons.
