Teaching Philosophy: "Teaching clarinet is a grace for me to have the ability to do it. Clarinet is one of the most diverse instruments for its timbre, and illimitation in controlling volume from “ppp to fff”. A tip for playing clarinet is to have air flowing in and fingers moving on the tone hole. As my previous professors Guy Yehuda and James Campbell said: 'Just blow more and sing the music.' Thus, I always encourage students to explore deeper into music, whatever deepness it is, air flow, fingerings, music contexts or meaning. I had the fortune to study with wonderful clarinetists such as Guy Yehuda, James Campbell, and Rob Patterson…. I feel it is my responsibility to pass those delightful traditions on to students. As a clarinetist, I cheer for everyone who loves clarinet, enjoys music, and I am willing to serve him or her whatever I can do, through clarinet and teaching."

Biography:
Ms. Tina Tsai is an active music educator, teaching and performing throughout Asia, Europe, and North America. She holds a M.M degree from Boston University, and a D.M.A. degree from Michigan State University in clarinet performance.

Tina always focuses on planning a long-term teaching strategy for students. She aims to encourage people to explore further and deeper into music through repertoires and practices, whether they are experienced professional musicians or amateurs and enthusiasts, and she cheers for anyone who enjoys music, willing to serve him or her and help them meet their goals.

Tina began teaching in 2017 and joined Note-worthy Experiences in September 2023 where she teaches clarinet and piano.
