Teaching Philosophy: "I believe in inspiring excitement and curiosity in my students. I always want to be a guide to my students' own unique journey through music, helping to find their voice and challenging them to try hard at it. I'm always excited to share new ideas and sounds in music to see what sparks interest in each individual student. Music is such a wonderful thing, and with a little guidance and some sustained effort, it opens up new worlds."

An Alabama transplant living in Boston, Connor Vance is a multi-instrumentalist and a lover of all styles of music. He started off with piano at 6, and would go on to study classical piano in college, earning a Bachelors of Music in Music Composition from the University of Alabama. He continues to enjoy songwriting and composing, often encouraging his students to explore their own compositional voices.

Connor's love for rock, hip-hop, and pop styles inspired him to study drum-set at a young age as well. Much of his professional performance work after college has been supporting rock and jazz bands as a drummer. Once he began playing rock and pop he couldn't stop and taught himself the guitar as well. Endlessly curious, he approaches music and instruments of all kinds with an open mind and a steady focus. A serious student of both classical and popular styles, Connor tries to draw on the important lessons that both have to offer to enrich his and his students playing.

Connor currently gigs around town as Connor Cay and plays guitar in a rock band called The Skirts. He joined Note Worthy Experiences in 2021 and has been teaching since 2012.
