Teaching Philosophy: "My ultimate goal as a teacher is to encourage students to develop unique ideas about what music can do for them, their community, and the ever-changing world around them. Our lessons together strive to devise technical and artistic strategies that work to unlock the student’s inner voice and inspire them to connect deeply with the music through their playing. I am a firm believer that well-rounded musicianship is achieved through consistent work with musical building blocks such as aural skills, music theory, and rhythmic exercises - and I incorporate these into lessons because I believe each is an invaluable asset to a student’s progress and comprehension. Above all, I believe in showing support at every stage, encouraging determination and resilience in the face of challenges, and helping each and every student realize the limitless possibilities that exist through this extraordinary art form."
