Teaching Philosophy: "I teach to share with my students the gifts that music has given me. In my life, performing and teaching music has created social connectedness, a sense of belonging, and the usefulness to entertain, lift up or comfort whether in the theater, recital hall, living room or worship service. Fostering students’ expectation to experience music individually and collectively with confidence and curiosity is my chief goal. I curate my lessons to teach those essential skills every well-equipped musician must master in the context of the styles of music that brings each student most alive. I find the wide variety of music I enjoy listening to, singing and playing a limitless source of inspiration. It's my joy to guide students in their earliest stages of musical exploration and achievement as well as to explore the artistic expression available to advanced performers. I believe we are fortunate to be able to spend our time in this way and to experience music's gift in our lives."

Lessons are going great...Sarah's awesome. EB is super appreciative of the expert help and they seem to really connect with one another! Sarah also goes above and beyond, recommending music, providing feedback, etc.
