Teaching Philosophy: "Music is important because it improves a person's emotions and their outlook on life. Music education is important, not only because it teaches creativity, performing, responding and connecting with others, but also because it simply makes life easier and more gratifying. When I teach music, I meet the students where they are and adapt their teaching skills to teach the most effectively. It is very important to me to teach the musical elements. Melody, harmony and rhythm are the three most essential elements of music and it is important to know the difference between them."

Biography: John has a degree in performance and music education from Berklee College of Music. This is where he studied with jazz legend Richie Hart and Blues Fingerstyle master Woody Mann. Before Berklee college of music, John lived in Massachusetts, where he studied guitar for the past 20 years and attended the pre-college at the New England Conservatory. John has received the Louis Armstrong award, an honors certificate from the New England Conservatory, and commendations from the MAJE. John has 8 years of teaching experience. He has taught at Canton high school, Brookline high school, Heath Elementary, Franklin Drummer studio, Canton music school, and now Note-worthy Experiences!
