Teaching Philosophy: "Just as I live my life by following what brings me joy, that philosophy exists in my teaching as well. When I was a child learning piano, I could EASILY learn a piece that I loved. That passion drew me to the piano continuously, and I would memorize my favorite pieces effortlessly. All of us are attracted to different pieces and composers, and I believe that our desire to play what we are passionate about helps us learn the technique needed for all music with joy. Learning to play piano, cello or any instrument goes way beyond playing notes on a page. When you accomplish something that you at first thought was “too hard” or “impossible” — how will that branch out into other areas of your life? In essence, learning to play music can be a very empowering, inspirational, magical experience."

I can’t express enough appreciation for Tara Chambers teaching our 3 boys piano the past 2 years. The boys could only play baby songs before they started lessons with Tara, who challenged them with playing classical. The boys improved at a speed that we could never imagine. Since then, the boys are confident enough to participate in recitals and competitions. We are amazed by Tara's ability to see the potentials of her students. Tara is patient, encouraging, and loving. She listens to the boys’ preferences and always finds pieces that they enjoy learning. Tara makes learning piano a joyful experience for them. During the pandemic, Tara adapted to teaching remotely, and the boys were able to continue lessons. We love working with Tara and look forward to unlocking more potentials.
